The Tea Crab Apple tree is widely grown. It is graceful, vase-shaped, open-branched tree reaching between 20' — 25' or more. The deep pink flower buds open and then turn to a blush pink blossoms that fade to white with a delicate scent.

The deep green, 4" leaves are oval or elliptical and some pointed, with toothed edges.

The Tea Crab is rarely marred by disease. It is highly resistant to scab, but slightly susceptible to fire blight.

Fruits are about 1/2", yellow with a blush of rose that turns to red.

The tree's shape makes a it a good street tree where people can walk under its branches.
