The Zumi Crabapple or Redbud Crabapple, is a hybrid with a rounded, horizontally spreading form that grows to 15' tall and 25' wide and is best crabapple for fall display. It has abundant, large, white flowers that open from pink buds in late spring, later than most crab apples. Leaves are 3-1/2" long, dar green and oval in shape, that turn golden orange in fall.
The glossy fruits are cherry red and hang on long 1-1/2" stems that persist throughout the winter.
Some Zumi species bloom and fruit in alternate years. Best placed where it can be seen year round.
